              1. Once you obtain the FedEx tracking number info, monitor the status of your shipment on FedEx website.<\/span>\n

              2. You will receive a phone call from FedEx (in my case, a FedEx Trade Networks & Brokerage rep contacted me) to notify the shipment.  They will ask you if you have imported any items that were over $2,500 this year.  Respond accordingly and also advise them of your email address.<\/span>\n

                <\/span><\/li>\n

              3. FedEx will email you the following 3 documents for the purpose of customs clearance.<\/span>\n
                  \n
                1. CBP 5106 form, blank<\/span><\/li>\n
                2. Instruction of how to fill out the CBP 5106 form<\/span><\/li>\n
                3. A scanned copy of FedEx Airway bill, commercial invoice, and FCC form (these are for your reference only)<\/span>\n

                4. If you have never imported items over $2,500 this year, you will need to complete the CBP 5106 form, the (3)-a above.  Refer to (3)-b instruction and fill out the form accordingly.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  1. Submit the complete form to FedEx as email attachment, PDF format.  (During this step, FedEx tracking status on the web shows \u201ccustoms clearance delay\u201d in a big red alert.  It will take about 1 \u2013 2 days for this customs clearance step, which can cause delays on your original ETA, the expected time of delivery)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    1. When the customs clearance is completed, the shipment status on the FedEx website will change back to \u201cdelivering\u201d \u2013 your shipment is almost there!  It will also show the revised ETA.  If the date is not convenient to you, you may call FedEx and ask for rescheduling it (1-800-GO-FEDEX), but their flexibility is limited \u2013 most likely you won\u2019t be able to change, at least I couldn\u2019t.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
